The little people running around the screen are trying to infect your computers with Wingdows [TM], a virus cleverly designed to resemble a popular operating system. Your objective is to click the mouse on them, ending their potential threat. If one of the people reaches a computer, it will attempt to replace your operating system with the virus it carries. It will then attempt to run off the screen with your vital software.

XJEWEL 1.6 (27-NOV-1998)

Tetris-like Game - Author: David Cooper & Jose Guterman
Licence: Free redistribution (see README. file).
VAX: DEC C 5.0 , VMS 6.1 - Alpha: DEC C 5.2, VMS 6.2

This game was originally written by Yoshihiro Satoh of HP. I have made a modest attempt to replicate Domain/JewelBox under X. Jewel is a game much like Domain/Jewelbox which is a puzzle game like Tetris. It is played by controling the motion of blocks which continue to fall from the top of the screen. One can move them left and right, as well as rotate the jewel segements. The object is to get the most points before the grim reaper ends the fun.

XPILOT 3.5.0 (25-JUL-1996)

Multiplayer gravity war game - Authors: Bjørn Stabell
Ken Ronny Schouten, Bert Gsbers
Licence: GNU General Public Licence
VAX: DEC C 5.0, VMS 6.1 - Alpha: DEC C 5.0, VMS 6.1

XPilot is a multiplayer game which looks a bit like Thrust for the Commodore 64. Thrust has some similarities with Atari's coin-up games Gravitar and Asteriods (not a misspelling) - they were the originals. Several clones have appeared for various computers, among others Gravity Force for the Commodore Amiga.

The main objective of the game varies as you can choose different game modes, although the only modes supported as of today are combat (optionally with teams and/or limited lives) and race. The former mode focuses more strongly on shooting each other down, while the latter is more a piloting test than anything else.

Licence: free usage and distribution - See Copyright notices in source files
VAX: VAX C 3.2, VMS 5.5-2, Alpha: DEC C 4.0, VMS 6.1

As in robots, xrobots puts you into a world of evil robots (but in an X window, of course). It's your intellect against the robots, who have numbers on their side. Fortunately for you, these robots have a bad habit of crashing into each other, destroying themselves and temporarily improving your chances of survival.

XTAMAGA 0.2 (28-MAR-1999)

Tamagotshi© Simulator - Author: John Zero
Licence: GNU General Public Licence
VAX: DEC C++ 5.5, VMS 6.2 - Alpha: DEC C++ 5.5, VMS 6.2

This is a Tamagotchi emulator (you know, that silly LCD game from Ban Dai).
This version is still not complete. For example the pet won't die when it
should... Etc. Under development...

Xtamaga binaries provided are statically linked against QT 1.33 (I've made a quick VMS port of this framework, but I cannot distribute it actually). Sources are also provided but are useless now, unless you port QT on VMS yourself :-)
